Send Christmas cards invented by the British. More precisely, they sent them for Christmas and still actively send them - this has become a kind of tradition. In Russia, while there was no email, people also liked to congratulate distant relatives and friends in this way. Now that the Internet has come to every region and almost every home, many have forgotten the way to the post office. On the network now there are virtual cards for every taste: vintage, animated, with music or a record of your congratulations. Moreover, you can send all this absolutely free and without leaving home.

The Women's Opinion portal conducted a survey among residents of Russia to find out if they adhere to the tradition of congratulating their dear people with the help of postcards.

Of the one hundred percent of those polled, 45.7% are not going to send postcards at all. Those who cannot be congratulated personally will call them on New Year's Eve or a day or two later. 38.6% prefer virtual postcards due to the variety and ease of forwarding. In addition, such a postcard is not so pitiful to erase as throwing away a real one, which seems to be unnecessary, but pleasant as a memory.

6.2% are conservative in this regard and choose real cards, smelling of printing ink and New Year's mood. Such postcards are valuable in that the person was not too lazy to go to the post office and write by hand a couple of phrases to whom it was intended. Some buy them to hand in person in addition to the gift.

The remaining 9.5% of respondents said that they would combine both methods of congratulation. They will send real cards to those who like to receive them - usually these are older people.

According to the results of the survey, although most have already abandoned the good old tradition, some still feel the charm of handwritten congratulations. After all, this is a wonderful memory of beautiful days and loved ones, which remains in the album or on the bookshelf behind glass for a long long time.

The survey involved 2410 people from 142 cities of Russia. The age of respondents is from 20 to 45 years.
