Frozen currant pie - tips and tricks

• Currant berries can be thawed in the microwave, but in this case they will release a lot of juice and become tasteless. It is most reasonable to put it in a container and leave it on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator.

• When thawing frozen currants, juice often remains. It can be used in compotes, to soak cakes, add to tea, jelly, various desserts.

• Berry fillings let in a lot of juice and make the bottom of the cake raw. To prevent this from happening, you can sprinkle the starch with starch before laying currants.

• Sweet berry juice often flows out of a pie, burns to a baking sheet, and washing off heavy contamination rarely causes delight. In order not to waste time and effort, accustom yourself to always cover the sheet with baking paper or a silicone rug.

• The cake will not stick to the walls of the mold if the bowl is not only greased, but also sprinkled with flour. You can take semolina for this purpose, bread crumbs.
