It is no secret that birth in water is becoming more and more popular. It is believed that a child, having left the womb of the mother and immediately being in the water, experiences significantly less shock than a baby born in the traditional way. In addition, many mothers point out that the water is somewhat relaxing, reducing the pain that is natural during childbirth. However, according to experts, despite the listed positive aspects, giving birth in water has a number of "minuses".

Thus, it is extremely difficult for midwives to take such childbirth: physicians literally have to bend over the side of a pool or bath to keep track of the process of childbirth. There have been cases when doctors even used flashlights for better visibility.

However, it will soon be possible to abandon all this, thanks to the development of specialists from Loughborough University, who created a special illuminating mirror for using it in water. The mirror is attached to a special flexible handle, which greatly facilitates its operation. At its edges is the backlight.
